Straight answers for wrap shops

What shop owners actually ask before signing up — setup, how close the colours really are, what happens to your leads, and what you are committing to. If something here is missing, email us and we will add it.

Getting started

How long does it take to get WrapMe running for my shop?

On Starter you can be live the same day. You get a hosted configurator page at your own address, like yourshop.wrapme.app, with your logo on it — there is nothing to install and no changes to make to an existing site. On Pro and Signature you also get an embed you drop into your own site, which is a single block of HTML and usually takes a few minutes.

Do I need to already have a website?

No. Starter gives you a hosted page on your own subdomain, so you can link it from your Instagram bio, your Google Business Profile, or a text message without having a website at all. If you do have a site, Pro and Signature let you embed the configurator directly into it.

Do I need a developer to set this up?

No. Starter needs no code at all. The Pro embed is a copy-and-paste snippet — on Wix, Squarespace, WordPress or GoDaddy it goes into an embed or custom HTML block, the same way you would add a booking widget or a map.

Does it work on a phone?

Yes. WrapMe runs in the phone browser using WebGL, with no app to install. This matters more than it sounds: most customers open the configurator from a text or an Instagram link, so the phone is the main screen rather than the fallback.

Vehicles and film

What if my customer's exact car isn't in the library?

The vehicle library is deliberately a focused set rather than every model ever made, and it is growing. In practice most customers pick the closest body style, because what they are really deciding is the film and the finish rather than the badge. If a specific vehicle matters to your shop — the model you wrap most often — Signature includes commissioning it as a custom model.

How accurate are the colours compared to the real film?

Every colour is rendered from a real SKU with a physically simulated finish, so gloss, satin, matte, metallic and ColorFlow behave the way the material does rather than being a flat tint. It is still a screen, though. Room lighting, the customer's display, and the colour of the car underneath all affect the final result. Treat it as the tool that gets a customer from "something blue" down to two or three specific SKUs, then confirm the final choice against a physical sample like you do now.

Can a customer preview a two-tone or accent-panel wrap?

Yes. Body, hood, roof, trunk, bumpers and mirror caps are six separate zones that paint independently, so a customer can put a gloss body with a satin black roof and a different colour on the mirrors. Glass, tyres, rims, lights and badges stay locked so the preview still looks like a car rather than a colouring book.

Does it cover window tint and underglow as well as wrap?

Yes, both are included as add-ons on Pro and Signature. Window tint sweeps the glass from ceramic clear down to limo, and underglow fits a light rig to the car including an RGB cycle. Whatever the customer selects travels with the build, so the job you get asked to quote is the whole job rather than just the wrap.

Leads and your business

Does this replace my quoting process?

No, and it is not meant to. It replaces the back-and-forth that happens before a quote — the texts, the reference photos, the "what would it look like in satin instead". You still price and quote the job yourself. What changes is that you are quoting against an exact specification the customer already chose rather than a vague description.

Who owns the leads and the customer data?

You do. Builds your customers create belong to your shop, and WrapMe does not sell, resell or market to them. On Starter leads arrive by email; on Pro and Signature they also appear in a dashboard with your own pricing attached.

Can my competitors see my pricing?

Yes, in the same way they can see any page on your website. Your configurator is a public page, so anyone with the link can open it, including another shop. That is worth knowing up front. The practical answer is that your competitors can already call and ask for a quote — the advantage of a configurator is not secrecy, it is that the customer has already committed to a specific build before they talk to anyone else.

What stops a customer just screenshotting it and taking it to a cheaper shop?

Nothing stops it, and that is true of any quote you give. What the exported image does is carry your shop name, logo and website baked into it, so a build posted to Instagram or forwarded to a friend points back to you rather than being anonymous. On every paid plan that branding is yours, which is the point — the screenshot becomes advertising rather than a leak.

Plans and billing

Is there a contract or a setup fee?

Starter and Pro are month to month with no contract and no setup fee, and you can cancel whenever you want. Every plan starts with a 14-day free trial that does not ask for a card. Paying annually gives you two months free. Signature is the one exception: it carries a one-time setup fee because it involves real one-off work — photographing your shop as a 3D environment and commissioning custom vehicle models.

What happens to my builds if I stop subscribing?

They are kept, not deleted. Your configuration and your customers' saved builds stay in place, and the page reverts to WrapMe branding rather than going offline. If you come back later, your setup is still there.

Do you take a percentage of my jobs?

No. WrapMe is a flat monthly fee and takes no cut of the work you book through it. If the tool wins you a $2,500 wrap, all $2,500 is yours. We deliberately chose not to do revenue share — shops resent paying a cut on their own customers, and arguing about which leads "count" is a bad way to run a relationship.

What's the real difference between Starter and Pro?

Starter is a hosted configurator page on your own subdomain with the 3M and Inozetek catalogs and leads delivered by email — the fastest way to have something live. Pro embeds into your own website, unlocks all four film brands including Avery Dennison and Oracal, opens up every environment, adds window tint and underglow, and gives you a lead dashboard with your own pricing. The short version: Starter is for getting started, Pro is for running it as part of your actual site.

Still deciding?

The fastest way to judge it is to build something. Pick a car, put a ColorFlow film on it, and see what your customer would see.
